Ultrasound!

Two weeks ago I had my weekly/every other week ultrasound and FINALLY saw my little girl's face. I have had probably more than 15 ultasounds with this baby, and she is AlWaYs facing my back and refuses to turn around and look toward the "camera" for mommy :) Stubborn little stinker! So I went in, excited and anxious to see my baby and see how she's doing, and the first thing I see on the screen is that beautiful little girls face! AAHH that's my baby! I wasn't able to load those on the computer yet (our scanner isn't working) but I have five awesome pics from that day, with her cute little hand up there by her face! The next week I went in, expecting the "usual" from: her head down, facing my back - and she was. But this week was sooo fun! I went in and she was facing up and feeling very wiggly (which is not the best when they're trying to get a good reading on a little tiny artery in her brain) but for the utrasound technician and me it was a blast! She turned it to the 3-d picture and we watched her wigglin around in there for a good 20 minutes - til we had to be serious and get a reading on her :) But it was sooo fun, I feel her all day everyday, it was so amazing to watch her doing everything that I felt! I saw her have the hiccups (which she gets at least once a day), open and close her mouth, stick her tongue out, she tried to fit her fist in her mouth :) it was seriously the best day at the docs! I got a cd of the pics and video of her movin around, that daddy got to watch later that night (he was home watching our other little stinker!) It was such a good reminder to me of the amazing miracle these babies are, not that I ever forget, but I know sometimes in the midst of aches and pains and restless nights I definitely have my moments where I take it for granted. But I am so blessed to have these girls in my life. Also I am so happy to report our baby has had zero blood transfusions and is doing sooo good! In fact my doc was very optimistic about her going this far, and going the rest of the way without any complications!

K, this one looks kinda weird with the nose (the technician said she couldn't clean it up anymore, just cuz of the angle), but that's her cute little tongue sticking out!

"Pretty Tree"

This was our first year putting our own Christmas tree up! I ordered it online on clearance in like March, and had never gotten it out to look at it at, so I was a little worried about it fitting right in our cozy house :) I think I even had some good ol prego dreams about it the night before we put it up lol. But it turned out perfect! The lights work, it fits perfect, and as Kiya says ALL the time now it's a "pretty tree!" I love holidays with this little girl. She reminds me everyday of the best things in life - which seem to always be the simplest things. This year will be our first year without family and going home for Christmas, our other baby girl has grounded us :) So it's hard - I get a little pit in my stomach thinking about it. So I made all these grand plans of all these activities to take Kiya to, not a lot of them have happened, for lots of reasons :) We've done more simple things. Kiya and I go on walks around the neighborhood at night to look at all the "pretty lights" She's really talking up a storm now, I love having "conversations" with my toddler lol! She loves this "noman" decoration I have up, and likes to drag him around by his scarf haha. She's done lots of Christmas shopping with mommy. She gets so excited by all the Christmas decorations, especially when we see Santas and snowmen :) I am so grateful for my Kiya and for her innocent reminders of the truly important things in life. That despite my lack of being the "supermom" I would love to be, she loves me unconditionally; that it's okay I haven't taken her to the amazing light show parks because my sweet little girl is just as happy walking around the block with mommy, and that a "microwave cookie" tastes just as good as the beautiful homemade ones I have yet to make. How cool is it that the love my child has for me is as unconditional as my Father in Heaven's.

LOTS of Girl Time!

The past few weeks I've had lots of time to hang out with my girls :) We had a night out at the fair, Becky's birthday lunch, and I had a surprise visit from one of my best friends Kristen and her new baby boy! I seriously don't know what I'd do without the girls in my life, good times!

Becky's birthday lunch (she's in the purple), she turned 30 and looks absolutely AMAZING!

So Kristen called me one Saturday morning as I sat on the coach wondering what to do that day, and said "guess where I am!" I was so excited! We got together for lunch with her sister in law that also lives here. We had such a good time (just need Kristen to move here so we can hang out more often, hint!)

Kiya is very much into babies these days. She kept saying baby aaww baby. (hopefully she'll feel that way toward her baby sis as well lol)

Barbeque!

I love this time of year here, it's such nice weather! So a couple weeks ago we had a barbeque with friends. It was so fun to see everyone and catch up :)

Halloween Weekend 2009

We had such a fun Halloween! Friday night we had our ward's Trunk or Treat. Kiya didn't quite get the trick or treat concept at first, once she got her first piece of candy she was happy and good to go, little did she know if ya keep going you get MORE! Then Saturday we went to JD and Leah's for some barbeque, and then headed to Winston and Kaela's to take our girls trick or treating! I love holidays with our little family :) especially with a two year old, everything is so fun and exciting to her, I love it!

I love this picture. Kiya has reached the "two" faze! She wants two of everything, even the number of blankets she gets when she goes night night. So when she got "two" candy, needless to say she was pretty excited!

Prego Pic & Day to Day with my Toddler

This was taken last Sunday before church so I was 26 weeks. Now only 13 weeks to go, we're gettin there yay :) Baby girl is doing great! She's staying healthy and keeping good blood count! In fact, they've moved my tests from weekly to every other week! I got a break from the doctor last week, it was so nice!

This baby duck my brother Kyle gave to Kiya for easter one year. She had just discovered it quacks very obnoxiously when you press it's tummy. Everytime she did it she'd gasp mouth wide open, she was so excited!

Lance's Birthday

It was Lance's birthday last week! I bought him a few gifts - shirts, but what he really wanted was stuff for his jeep. So I let him do that shopping :) He's been working on it for the last few weeks (Kiya has loved helping daddy work on the jeep). It's lookin really good, he got a new rear bumper with tire carrier, and things for the safari rack, he also got the tint on the porsche windows redone! I also got him his favorite oreo icecream cake (but didn't get any pics), and we went out to eat that night. These past two weeks have been crazy with birthdays. But I've enjoyed spending time with my two most favorite people on their birthdays. Love you babe!

Lance also got card, money and candy (kiya was excited about the candy) from my parents and card and money from my grandparents. Yep he's rollin in the dough now :)

Kiya was determined to open all of daddy's gifts - and she did lol! Afterwards we were joking that birthdays will never be the same around here, now that Kiya has learned the joy of opening presents! Lance hardly got to look at one gift before Kiya was opening another, he's so patient with her!

Kiya loves going for rides in the jeep - we'll usually take it out on the weekends together.

Lance loves his cars. He works so hard, I'm glad he's had a little time to work on them lately!
