Happy Birthday to . . . ME!

Birthday #25, I'm officially in my mid-twenties :) My Birthday was on Wednesday last week, so I'm only a week late in posting about it, I think that's some kind of record for me! I had such an awesome birthday! Lance asked me what I wanted and I said just a day for myself, so he took the day off work and stayed home with Kiya. Lance woke up with Kiya so I could sleep in that morning. Then I went out and got a nice relaxing massage, and then a spa pedi, and did a little shopping for a new outfit for dinner that night. When I came home from my "time off" he had bought me a dozen roses, and an ice cream birthday cake! For dinner we got a babysitter and went to The Melting Pot (I've never tried fondue, but have always wanted to) it was sooo yummy! I had such a great day, my hubby made it so special - thanks babe I love you, you're the BEST! And thanks to all my friends and family, your calls and goodies that were sent meant so much to me!

The Melting Pot

The birthday cake Lance got was from Coldstone. I always get birthday cake icecream with sprinkles when we go there, so that's what he got! Soooo good, I practically inhaled it!

Yep you guessed it, MORE CHRISTMAS!!!

We gave my mom a scrapbook of Kiya.  Kiya loves looking at pictures of herself, she can't help it, she's so dang cute :)
Steve and Lindsay moved into their new home a few weeks before Christmas.  So we all went over to see it.  It's such a beautiful home, we're so excited for them!
Kiya did a good job taking down grandma's tree.
My sister Shelly LOVES books!  So she of course got quite a few to add to her library.

Ok, don't look too close at this picture :)  Love the cheesy grin, I was so excited to get my pretty new mixer.
I guess we know where Kiya gets that cheesy grin huh.  She loves draping things around her neck - daddy's belt, tape measure, her pj's, etc. this time she got it right with Katie's scarf.

Grandma Riddoch made this adorable cape, so cute.

My mom rockin her FABULOUS new shoes!
Lindsay surprised Steve with new skis!

Kiya and her auntie Lindsay
Lance was the hardest one to drag out of bed, poor guy was so tired - we got in late the night before.
Kyle was sooo sick, he didn't play with his new toys til probably a week after Christmas.  I told him to smile, and you can tell the poor kid just didn't feel good.
Kiya and Katie (and Kitty)
Brother Steve - looking lively, they were up since 5 am!

I know, it's getting a little ridiculous.  But I'd like to do the thing where you get your posts printed off or whatever, so this is the last of the Christmas, I swear!  These are from my parents house, Christmas morning.  Lance and I drive to Boise Christmas Eve night, I think we got in at midnight. This year it wasn't one of the youngest siblings waking everyone up at the crack of dawn, nope, it was my married brother Steve and his wife Lindsay, I love them!  Yep, they were up at five, but kindly waited til like 7:00/7:30 to come over and wake us all up!  It's always so good to be home.  We had such a fun morning.  It was the first year that Kiya could kinda get into things, and she did.  She started walking the week before Christmas so she definitely was enjoying her new found freedom!  She enjoyed her new toys and of course, had fun with the wrapping paper.  We always have crepes for breakfast, and my mom gets each of our favorite cereal to eat that morning as well.  And then she fills the kitchen counter with every kind of food - candy, hickory farms spread, little smokys (mmmm), 7 layer dip(Lance's fav), cookies, mints etc. etc. you get the picture - it's a freakin smorgasbord!  My parents always do so much to make Christmas special.  We pretty much eat, play with our new toys, watch movies, and just enjoy being together.  Good times.

And MORE Christmas

Oh my Goodness! I've been looking through all our Christmas pictures, and there's a lot!! So here's some more, these are from our stay with Lance's family. We usually spend a week with the Riddoch's before Christmas and then take off after the family Christmas Eve party to spend Christmas with my fam.

Poor thing, by the end of our vacation this little girl is SICK of the car!

Kiya and her cousin Caitlyn. Kiya has lots of fun cousins close to her age!

Yet another picture with the binky. Heaven help me when it's time to take that thing away!

Meagan, Shawna, Cara and me! It was so fun to see all of them! We had a good time shopping, going to lunch, and Shawna showed us how to make cute flower clippies for our girls (thanks Shawna!).

Ok, I love this picture. I believe I was sitting there telling her no, while Lance took the picture. She's looking at us like "What? I'm not doing anything!"
