Anyone who knows Kiya knows how much she's loved her binky. The day I had to take it away was definitely one I completely dreaded! I think around 18 months I started only giving it to her for nap and bedtime, she would get so excited when I pulled out that binky for night night :) I remember nights where the binky would fall or get thrown out of bed and she would cry and cry until someone got the binky for her. There was a few times she found the stash of them I'd hidden and got so excited it was like Christmas lol. She'll be two the 22nd of this month and I was planning on taking the binky away around that time. Well about a month ago we were doing our bedtime routine, I laid her down in her crib with her kitty and blankey and I had forgotten the binky. But she didn't say anything about it, I thought to myself let's just see how long it takes her to realize. She didn't, and the next day when she took a nap no binky again. That was it, no tears, no saying bye to them in different ways, nothing. I have absolutely no idea how I got off so easy but am so grateful it wasn't the traumatic event I thought it was going to be :)

Geez VERY lucky, awesome!! I think sometimes kids are just ready at their own time on certain things, Too bad everything couldn't be that easy! Yay i'm glad to hear that though! Can't wait to see you!
Yeah that's basically not fair!! Don't count on that happening with the next one! ;) All those pics of her and binky are classic! She definitely loved that thing... R.I.P binky!
